Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) have proven valuable for accelerated healing and tissue regeneration in many dental procedures.
Until recently, hospitals and blood banks were the only places producing Platelet-Rich Fibrin and Platelet-Rich Plasma, due to the expense of separating platelets from the blood and the large amount needed to create enough for treatment.
With the introduction of tabletop centrifuges, Pinnacle Endodontics, Periodontics, and Implants utilize this new technology to harvest and produce a sufficient quantity of platelets from only a small amount (10cc) of blood. The blood draw occurs just before the patient’s surgery, and the platelet separation only takes 15 minutes.
Platelet Rich Fibrin
Pinnacle uses Platelet Rich Fibrin for dental procedures such as gum grafts, bone grafts, tooth extractions, and dental implants. It protects from infection and accelerates healing. For implants, we place the Platelet Rich Fibrin between the extraction site and the dental implant. It promotes faster healing and reduces dental implant failure rates.
Platelet Rich Fibrin Benefits
Safety
Platelet Rich Fibrin is a by-product of the patient’s blood, eliminating the risk of disease transmission.
Convenience
In-office technology produces the Platelet Rich Fibrin while the patient is undergoing treatment or surgical procedures.
Faster Healing
Platelet Rich Fibrin increases the regeneration, which results in shorter healing times.
Cost-Effective
Because we can harvest the platelets in our office, there’s no additional expense of a harvesting procedure at a hospital or blood bank.

Platelet Rich Plasma
Platelet Rich Plasma accelerates healing since it contains growth factors and stimulates quicker regeneration. It’s a considerable significance for many surgical procedures, such as bone grafts, gum grafts, sinus lifts, ridge augmentation, or repair of failing implants. Since we make the Platelet Rich Plasma from the patient’s blood, it’s perfectly safe.
Platelet Rich Plasma Benefits
Reduced Risk of Infection
Platelet Rich Plasma seals the wound from bacteria, lowering the risk of infection.
Quicker Healing
Platelet Rich Plasma increases tissue synthesis, which results in faster regeneration. Faster healing decreases the risks of infection, complications, and discomfort.
